Workshop Access (Email to book)
Overview:
Workshop access at The Bench is between 10:00am - 4:00pm Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. Please contact The Bench to arrange.
We recommend providing The Bench with at least one weeks’ notice. We are smaller than a small business and require more than one day to coordinate.
This is perfect for those wanting to use specialist tools and/ or equipment, a space to focus on your individual projects, or perhaps you need a fully functional workshop with a thriving jewellery community to work from and take a break from the solitude of your own private studio. We cater to all levels, however prefer you to have a strong understanding of foundation jewellery making and competent tool usage.
Would you like advice or guidance? Having trouble with a tricky soldering join? No sweat! Our expert tutor is on site for trouble shooting and/ or bouncing ideas on Tuesdays (daytime) and Thursdays (evening). Secure your bench for Tuesday by following this link: Talent to Treasure Jewellery — THE BENCH or for Thursday, book in here: Turn Off, Tune Out, Drop In — THE BENCH
If you do not have experience in jewellery making, please do not book in to either of these. Get in touch and speak with one of our team to find the best jewellery class for you.
When: 10:00am – 4:00pm (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday)
Duration: 6 hours
Class size: Please book in advance to avoid missing out.
Cost: $80
What to bring:
All materials and consumables required to make your work.
(Some precious metal, stones, base metal and consumables are available for purchase).
What is provided:
We have most tools/ equipment you might need - please contact ahead of your session if you need something in particular.
A great community vibe.
Kitchen area including fridge, microwave, sandwich press.
Please be aware that we are a very small operation. Voicemails are listened to once a week on a Tuesday. We understand that you may prefer to talk with a real live human, and being a real live human Erin is very happy to speak with you too. However, we politely ask that you schedule a suitable time. Instead of leaving a voicemail, we recommend sending a brief audio text or text message with your enquiry. We are usually very prompt when replying to a text message or email.
